CON TATTO (TACT FULLY)
Castello di Lucento (Torino).
Sargomma SB actively supports the AIEF Foundation through the adoption of a ‘sensory room’ dedicated to touch, within the Academy of Senses at the Castello di Lucento. The installation, created by Alessandro Ciffo, is made of colored silicone, worked by the artist with a texture designed to stimulate and engage the sense of touch.
As the plaque in the room states, testifying to SARGOMMA SB’s commitment:
“Touch is a complex, extraordinary and universal sense. With this donation, SARGOMMA SB symbolically dedicates the installation to young people – future generations –
united in the journey of self-discovery”.
WORTH II CALL
Milano Design Week
Following the win of the European WORTH II call, in 2023 the SKIN team, in collaboration with the Austrian partner Studio Mixtura, showcased prototypes of modular tiles made with natural pigments at the WORTH Exhibition space during the FuoriSalone of Milan Design Week.
WORTH, a partnership project funded by the European Commission, is the only European project that brings together designers and SMEs for the development of innovative business ideas focused on sustainability.
RO-GUILTLESS PLASTIC
Milano Design Week
In the 2023 edition of RoGUILTLESSPLASTIC at Palazzo Bandello, “The Door” was presented, a portal that invites the viewer to become an active participant by moving the recycled silicone cubes and crossing the threshold to embark on a journey into the world of regenerated materials.
A world of infinite possibilities, united by a sense of responsibility toward the future.
DOWN TOWN DESIGN
Dubai Design Week.
Five days at Dubai’s Downtown Design fair, dedicated to design, beauty, and Made in Italy.
Thanks to the opportunity offered by ITA – Italian Trade Agency, the new SKIN product by SARGOMMA SB was presented: an alternative project that unites art and industry with a vision oriented towards diversification and sustainability.
The curtain system was created from regenerated silicone slabs, born from the creativity of Alessandro Ciffo and subsequently cut with Waterjet technology by SARGOMMA SB.
The unique chromatic effect, inspired by desert landscapes as a tribute to the host country, was accompanied by an immersive virtual reality experience.
Ro-Guiltless Plastic
Milano Design Week.
SKIN participated in the 2021 and 2023 editions of Ro-GUILTLESSPLASTIC, the international project conceived in 2019 and curated by Rossana Orlandi and Nicoletta Orlandi Brugnoni.
The contest’s objective is to inspire the international creative community to explore new approaches to design and art, using innovative materials derived from reuse, recycling, and the infinite possibilities of transforming polymeric materials.
The exhibition takes place concurrently with Milan Design Week and involves ten finalist projects each year.
With the claim “Please do touch,” in 2021 the SKIN team presented the mock-up of a container coated with sheets of regenerated silicone at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, inviting visitors to experience the unique properties of this material firsthand.
Meanwhile, at the 2023 edition at Palazzo Bandello, “The Door” was presented. This door invites the viewer to become an active participant by moving the recycled silicone cubes and crossing the entrance to embark on a journey into the world of regenerated materials—a world of infinite possibilities united by a sense of responsibility towards the future.
